German Documentary Footage Shows Close-up of Start of WTC-2 Collapse

Beginning of the collapse seen from the southeast

This interesting clip from German television (SAT-1, Spiegel TV) was made available by Christian Czech, a German 9-11 researcher.  It is shot from the southeast, and provides a closer look at the beginning of the WTC-2 collapse than previous video clips.  In the still picture above explosions of thick white dust can be seen just below the level where the collapse has started.

The picture below shows a close-up of these same explosions from the middle of the clip.  Though it is a little out of focus the same white clouds can be seen about 1/2 second earlier than in the picture above.

When seen in close-up it is clear that these explosions begin as flat sheets ejected from a single floor.  They emerge at high velocity from a level just below the point where the collapse has begun, ruling out the theory that they were created by floors falling on each other.

The final portion of the clip is shot with a wider angle lens and shows the entire top of the tower at the moment of collapse.

The thick white clouds near the bottom represent the further expansion of the thin sheets of high-velocity debris seen above as they combine with explosions from the floors below, creating a demolition wave that can be seen rapidly advancing down the towers.
